I had the privilege to do an internship at North Kingdom as a 3D artist.
I was looking into optimization pipelines in order to think up another way to ease the work when aimed at tablet and phone as well as Unitys HTML5 export for browser based games.
Due to a lot of assets being outsourced the optimization most of the time took a back seat in the production pipeline, and only late in the project did they get a overhaul.
I looked into different ways of making basic steps when assets comes in to see where you can quickly save some performance.
